Public URLs for local development servers
localhosting.dk is a small redirect tool for developers. You enter a localhost-style address and get a public URL for previews, callbacks, demos or remote testing.

The main screen. Enter a local URL, get a public one, then copy or open it.
Where they were stuck.
Developers often need to share a local route with a teammate, a third-party integration or a browser on another machine. The usual tools for that are heavier than the job. localhosting.dk needed a simple single-purpose page for it.
How we shipped it.
- 01
Kept it to one input, one output, and buttons to copy or open the generated public URL.
- 02
Used a dark, low-noise design that matches other dev tools and stays easy to read when you use it many times a day.
- 03
Added example URLs so people can see the accepted input formats without reading any docs.
- 04
Kept the scope to one job, giving outside access to a local dev server, and left hosting features out.
