File manager prototype for several cloud storage providers
An internal prototype for a cloud file manager that puts several storage providers in one interface. We laid it out so it could become a desktop app later.

Where they were stuck.
Most storage tools used generic full-width web layouts, which suit dense file management poorly and would not carry over to a desktop app. Brave File Manager tried a more compact, solid design for managing several providers.
How we shipped it.

Designed it as a dashboard-style app shell so the layout could move into a desktop app later.

Used a soft but solid interface style to signal security, reliability and control, which we treated as core product values.

Worked mostly on UX structure and density, with compact navigation, service integrations and file-management modules that could grow past a concept demo.

Kept the branding provisional so we could test the design system and interactions before doing proper identity work.
